2010 MET Costume Institute Gala Red Carpet

The theme of 2010 Costume Institute Gala or Met Gala is “American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity”. Therefore, I was not surprised when I saw the red carpet photos of celebrities in shades of red, white and blue. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was filled with stars in big gowns, ruffles and bling. Every one tried to wear their best and elegant dresses. However, just what the famous line says: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some star looked awful to me. Avatar Star Zoë Saldana's Fashion Style For SELF May 2010

Avatar star, Zoe Saldana revealed her real-life fashion style on the May 2010 issue of Self magazine. Opposite to her glamorous red carpet fashion style, Zoe Saldana revealed that her closet were full of "elegant, sexy, tomboyish, sophisticated, beautiful and aggressive" pieces. She also confessed that her fashion preferences were dominated by black. However, for the Self May 2010 issue she gave her self permission to be pretty by wearing colorful confections.

Glee Cast Madonna Inspired Makeover

The cast of Glee had their Madonna-inspired makeover for this week's cover of TV Guide. Lea Michele sports a "Material Girl" look with a pink dress, Amber Riley dons a "Like A Virgin" get up with white Lolita lace, Jenna Ushkowitz gets physical for "Physical Attraction" in 1980's workout clothes, Dianna Argon put a bold red lipstick and black corset for "Express Yourself" and Jane Lynch wear Madonna's "Vogue" cone bra.

At Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards, stars strutted their fashion styles at the orange carpet.


Avatar star Zoe Saldana wore skinny jeans, a stylish Isabel Marant blazer, and Christian Louboutin heels.
"America's Next Top Model" host, Tyra Banks sported a red and yellow number.
