2008 VMAs Recap

Best Week Ever has broken down the entire 2008 MTV VMAs into a 2 minute need-to-know video, which, I must say, is much appreciated.

Yes, Britney Spears won waaaaaay too many awards, Jordin Sparks is a jackass for insinuating that those who don't maintain their virginity are, in essence, sluts, Rihanna should really let the whole S&M look go, and Lil Wayne really needs to get a pair of pants that fit, but all in all, it was quite an interesting awards ceremony.

Christina Aguilera VMA 2008 Performance

What the hell was Christina Aguilera thinking? She's looking more and more like Samantha Fox and is starting to regress back to the '90s. I get that she wants to sex it up because she's been spending all her time playing mommy and wife but man, take a breather.

Her 2008 MTV VMAs performance was awful. I think Christina Aguilera was wearing a wig, she was overcompensating for not having a perfect body by wearing really tight black clothing and, worst of all, she was lip synching, which isn't her style.

All in all, she should've stayed home and watched the show with her family. Ugh! And the choreography... don't even get me started.

Britney VMAs 2008 Appearance

Well, that was lackluster. Of course, all the hype surrounding whether or not Britney Spears would be performing at the 2008 VMA MTV Awards this time around sans anti-depressants and with some real hair left us all waiting and wondering.

And at the end of the day, Britney Spears did a somewhat funny skit with Jonah Hill and then rushed off stage. Oh and she did win a few MTV awards, which I'm guessing was part of the deal with MTV for her being present at the show and looking like she's not living on Cheetos and Pepsi, or trying to kill the pappos with an umbrella.

What was a bit surprising is that it seemed like no one was actually at the 2008 MTV VMAs this year. It looked like the show was being held at a nightclub because there were barely and fans in the crowd. Anyhow, Britney Spears appeared to be very subdued and rehearsed, which I'm certain makes her dad very happy. Sounds to me like she's on the right track to making another $150 million.

Yes, it's true; MSN managed to get its hands on this "secret" video of Britney Spears rehearsing a choreography for the 2008 MTV VMAs with what sounds like a new and pretty bland single.

I have to admit, she looks like the old Britney Spears, all slutty and semi-coherent. And it looks like she might actually be returning to her old self, once again.

Let's just hope Britney Spears doesn't let her mind go AWOL right before the 2008 MTV VMAs starts like she did the last time. Or God forbid, get pregnant.
