I was never a huge fan of Bernie Mac or his comedy, but it did strike me when I discovered that he died today, Saturday August 9, 2008, at the young age of 50. He was a good guy; friend, husband, father, and grandfather and will definitely be missed by those closest to him.
Bernie Mac was suffering form an inflammatory lung disease called sarcoidosis, but died from complications that arose from pneumonia.
George Clooney and Brad Pitt publicly expressed their condolences, saying that the world became a little less funny. If you remember, Bernie Mac starred alongside the A-listers in the Oceans movies.
